Irvine-based personal computer maker Gateway Inc. has changed the date it plans to release its yearly and fourth-quarter results, the company said Monday.
The company now plans to report results on the first Thursday of February. That will be Feb. 2 this year.
In the past, Gateway had reported the results on the last Thursday of January. The company’s other quarterly reports are set to come out on the final Thursday of the month following the close of the previous quarter, as they have in the past.
The company changed its year-end reporting date to accommodate more work from the Sarbanes-Oxley corporate governance legislation, spokesman David Hallisey said.
The schedules also accommodate the internal and external accountants’ timelines, he said.
