Not only the Left Coast, now it’s the Left Out Coast.
Gridlock, Anybody?
WHEN A NEW REPUBLICAN HOUSE MAJORITY ASSERTED ITSELF AGAINST
President Clinton during the mid-’90s, the mainstream media fretted over the “gridlock.” Funny, but the same media seemed much less focused on the problem of gridlock this past Congressional session when a bare, concocted Democratic majority in the Senate held up President Bush’s judgeships and other domestic initiatives.
I suspect that a Democratic Senate minority will now resort to filibusters in a continued bid to frustrate the Bush economic and social agenda. If the Dems succeed, I also suspect the media will be more focused on the failure of the GOP to “get things done” than on the gridlock.
