EARNINGS

Bergen Brunswig Corp., Orange, reported a loss of $239.5 million (including $251 million in charges related to the sale of units) on revenue of $5.8 billion in the fiscal third quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $32.8 million on revenue of $5.2 billion in the prior fiscal third quarter. For the nine months ended June 30, Bergen Brunswig reported a loss of $207.5 million on revenue of $13.9 billion, compared with earnings of $99.1 million on revenue of $11.9 billion in the prior-year period.

Fidelity National Financial Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $31.4 million (including a goodwill-amortization charge of $11.9 million) on revenue of $757.6 million in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $23.7 million (including a $1.5 million goodwill charge) on revenue of $357.8 million in the second quarter of 1999. For the first half of the year, the company reported earnings of $33.2 million (including $13.5 million in goodwill charges) on revenue of $193.4 million, compared with earnings of $43.5 million (including $2.4 million in goodwill charges) on revenue of $131.3 million in the 1999 period.

Allergan Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $51.9 million on revenue of $404.1 million in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $46.9 million on revenue of $367.8 million in the prior second quarter. For the six months ended June 30, Allergan reported earnings of $95.4 million on revenue of $780.3 million, compared to earnings of $81.9 million on revenue of $679.1 million in the prior six months.

Standard Pacific Corp., Costa Mesa, reported earnings of $20.0 million on revenue of $283.7 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $16.8 million on revenue of $309.7 million in the prior second quarter. For the six-month period, the company reported earnings of $33.9 million on revenue of $516.8 million, compared with earnings of $30.6 million on revenue of $524.8 million in the first half of 1999.

Earl M. Jorgensen Co., Brea, reported earnings of $7.1 million on revenue of $268.4 million for the fiscal first quarter ended June 29, compared with earnings of $4.0 million on revenue of $220.9 million in its previous first quarter.

Apria Healthcare Group Inc., Costa Mesa, reported earnings of $14.1 million on revenue of $252.6 million in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $10.3 million on revenue of $232 million in the prior second quarter. For the first half of the year, the company posted earnings of $26.9 million on revenue of $503.3 million, compared with earnings of $19.6 million on revenue of $460.3 million in the first half of 1999.

RemedyTemp Inc., Aliso Viejo, reported earnings of $3.1 million on revenue of $133.9 million for the fiscal third quarter ended July 2, compared with earnings of $4.0 million on revenue of $128.8 million in the previous third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company reported earnings of $10.7 million on revenue of $418.5 million, compared with earnings of $10.9 million on revenue of 363.2 million in the prior-year period.

DDi Corp., Anaheim, reported a net loss of $0.1 million (including a one-time charge for debt retirement of $2.6 million) on revenue of $101.5 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with a net loss of $4.9 million on revenue of $71.7 million in the second quarter of 1999. For the six months, the company posted a net loss of $2.1 million (including the charge) on revenue of $176.8 million, compared with a net loss of $10.2 million on revenue of $130.9 million for the first half of 1999.

Health Care Property Investors Inc., Newport Beach, posted earnings of $28.3 and funds from operations of $43.5 million on revenue of $82.1 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $15.6 million and funds from operations of $26.1 million in the prior second quarter. For the six-month period, the company reported earnings of $55.2 million and funds from operations of $87.0 million on revenue of $164.3 million, compared with earnings of $30.8 million and funds from operations of $51.1 million on revenue of $101.4 million in the first half of 1999.

Water Pik Technologies Inc., Newport Beach, reported second quarter earnings of $3.1 million on revenue of $75.7 million, compared with earnings of $1.6 million on revenue of $64.9 million for the second quarter of 1999. For the six months ended June 30, the company reported earnings of $3.6 million on revenue of $140.8 million, compared with earnings of $1.7 million on revenue of $118.5 million for the same period in 1999.

Capital Pacific Holdings Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $2.3 million (including an extraordinary gain of $0.9 million for early repayment of debt) on revenue of $65.0 million for the fiscal first quarter ended May 31, compared with earnings of $0.8 million on revenue of $62.0 million in the prior-year quarter.

CorVel Corp., Irvine, reported earnings of $3.2 million on revenue of $50.6 million in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $2.9 million on revenue of $45.7 million in the prior fiscal first quarter.

Newport Corp., Irvine, reported earnings of $4.2 million on revenue of $51.7 million for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $2.1 million on revenue of $35.6 million in the second quarter of 1999. For the six-month period, the company posted earnings of $7.2 million on revenue of $97.4 million, compared with earnings of $3.0 million on revenue of $65.0 million in the 1999 period.

Mircosemi Corp., Santa Ana, reported earnings of $4.2 million on revenue of $66.6 million in the fiscal third quarter ended July 2, compared with a net loss of $0.7 million on revenue of $48.8 million in the prior third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company posted earnings of $5.9 million on revenue of $182.2 million, compared with earnings of $5.7 million on revenue of $127.7 million in the prior-year period.

Nationwide Health Properties Inc., Newport Beach, posted earnings of $18.0 million on revenue of $42.8 million in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $17.2 million on revenue of $40.9 million in the second quarter last year. For the first half of the year, the company reported earnings of $36.0 million on revenue of $85.6 million, compared with earnings of $35.0 million on revenue of $80.2 million in the 1999 period.

Printronix Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $0.2 million on revenue of $39.7 million in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, compared with earnings of $2.4 million on revenue of $44.9 million in the previous first quarter.
