Cox Names New Regional Boss

Cox Communications, the largest private broadband company in America, promoted Ingo Hentschel to senior vice president and region manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and employees in Orange County, San Diego, Palos Verdes and Santa Barbara.
He replaces Sam Attisha, who was promoted to lead a new national team for the company. Both Hentschel and Attisha will continue to be based in San Diego.
Following service as a crew chief in the U.S. Marine Corps, Hentschel joined Cox nearly 30 years ago as a field technician in Palos Verdes before moving to San Diego where he has held a variety of local and statewide leadership positions in field and network operations.
“It’s been an incredible experience to help launch innovative products and services for our customers over the years and I look forward to continue serving our customers and communities in California in my new role,” Hentschel said in a statement.
Hentschel holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. and serves on the board of directors for the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. He also supports FourBlock, a nonprofit that offers career readiness and professional networking opportunities for veterans.
Cox Communications has 6.5 million residential and business customers in 18 states.
