Midday Stock Roundup

Indexes fell today in midday trading as rising interest rates and Covid-19 shutdowns in China worried investors.

The S&P; 500 dropped 1.2% to 4,432.63.

The Dow 30 slid 0.7% to 34,494.53.

The Nasdaq slumped 1.7% to 13,475.62.

Oil declined 4.3% to $94.07 a barrel.

Gold rose 0.3% to $1,951 an ounce.

The yield on a 10-year bond was up 2.2% to 2,772%.

MANUFACTURING

Terran Orbital Corp. (NYSE: LLAP) dropped 13% to $5.41 per share and a $746 million market cap. Shares for the Florida-based parent company of Tyvak Nano Satellite Solutions Inc. in Irvine, which went public a few weeks ago via a reverse merger with a SPAC, were trading close to $10 as of last month.

MEDICAL DEVICES

RxSight Inc. (Nasdaq: RXST) fell 7.1% today to $12.30 per share and a $338 million market cap.

Shares for the Aliso Viejo-based artificial lens maker have been off about 23% since the company’s IPO last July.
