Midday Stock Roundup

S&P; 500 was up 0.8% to 4,491.73 in midday trading.The Dow 30 climbed 0.5% at 34,532.58.

The Nasdaq rose 1% to 14,059.32.

Crude oil fell 2.3% to $112.32 a barrel.

Gold increased 1.4% to $1,964.90 an ounce.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was 0.6% higher at 2.3340%.

FRANCHISORS

Global fitness franchisor Xponential Fitness Inc. (NYSE: XPOF) of Irvine rose 4.3% to $23.50 per share and a $2.1 billion market cap. The company’s share price has increased over 11% since the beginning of March, after it reported fourth-quarter revenue for 2021 grew 78% and full-year revenue grew 45%.

MEDICAL DEVICES

Shares in Sonendo Inc. (NYSE: SONX), fell 12.4% to $4.80 per share for a $138.6 million market cap. The Laguna Hills-based maker of dental technologies yesterday reported fourth-quarter EPS that missed analysts’ expectations. Following the report, Goldman Sachs analyst Nathan Rich moved his price target to $10 from $30 but kept his “Buy” rating.
