The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.4% to 34,780.40, while the Nasdaq rose 0.6% to 14,603.45.
Crude oil fell 0.4% to $74.94.
Gold increased 0.3% to $1,782.10.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury was off 2.9% to 1.44%.
HEALTHCARE
Newport Beach aesthetics company Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) shares fell 5.9% to $12.86 for a market cap of $696 million. Evolus shares have risen more than 300% year to date.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine memory products maker Netlist Inc. (OTC: NLST) shares continued their run up this week, jumping 22.3% to $4.77 for a market cap of $1 billion. The company is trading at about three times its average volume and is up more than 600% since the start of the year.
