Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 rose 0.4% to 4,179.34 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.3% to 34,249.92, while the Nasdaq increased 0.3% to 13,672.91.

Crude oil rose 0.6% to $66.06 a barrel.

Gold climbed 0.4% to $1,783.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury was up 0.5% to 1.60%.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) rose 6.8% to $81.58 and a $5.5 billion market cap. The data science software maker yesterday reported first quarter results better than analysts expected.

 

HEALTHCARE

Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI), a blood clot removal device maker, fell 6.2% to $101.01 and a $5.1 billion market cap. Volume was about half of its daily average.  The Irvine-based company, which is scheduled to report first quarter results on May 11, went public a year ago at $19 a share.
