The S&P 500 climbed 1.2% to 4,578.25 in midday trading.
The Dow 30 was up 0.7% to 35,709.16.
The Nasdaq jumped 1.7% to 14,430.53.
Crude oil rose 0.2% to $89.56 a barrel.
Gold increased 0.4% to $1,836 an ounce.
The yield on a 10-year bond declined 1.59% to 1.923%.

Newport Beach-based Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) jumped 9.8% to $1,604 and a $45.2 billion market cap. The restaurant chain yesterday reported fourth quarter revenue and profit that topped analysts’ consensus estimates.
MEDICAL DEVICES
Axonics Inc. (Nasdaq: AXNX) increased 4.9% to $55.01 and a $2.6 billion market cap. Shares of the Irvine-based maker of devices to help control bladders are up about 26% since Jan. 27 when the company highlighted a peer-review, independent study showing that urinary incontinence is prevalent in 78 million women.
