The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 0.4% to 1.101%.
The price of gold increased 0.6% to $1,840.50.
The price for a barrel of oil rose 1.1% to $52.93.
TECHNOLOGY
Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS) rose 4.6% to $159 per share for a market cap of $26.4 billion. “Skyworks stands to benefit significantly from 5G upgrades, as 5G systems are more complex, with more challenging RF front-end and analog component designs. Skyworks should also benefit from strong demand from Apple – its largest customer, which reportedly accounts for about half of its revenue,” Forbes.com said earlier in the day.
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) rose 3.4% to $48.48 per share for a market cap of $1.1 billion. TheMotleyFool.com said last week investors believe that McDonald’s and BJ’s “will rebound after the pandemic ends.”
