The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1% to 34,180.l77, while the Nasdaq increased 0.2% to 14,482.38.
Crude oil rose 0.7% to $75.53.
The price of gold was up 0.2% to $1,759.70.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 3.1% to 1.48%.
OC restaurant operators were generally up on Friday, led by Kura Sushi USA Inc. (Nasdaq: KRUS). The Irvine revolving sushi bar concept rose 6.2% to $46.40 for a market cap of $449.8 million.
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) was up 5.4% to $44.03 for a market cap of $1 billion.
Other movers included Lake Forest-based Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO), up 2.8% to $8.97 for a market cap of $326.5 million. El Pollo Loco Inc. (Nasdaq: LOCO) of Costa Mesa rose 1% to $17 for a market cap of $624.7 million.
The Dow Jones U.S. Restaurants and Bars Index was up 1% to 2,516.01.
