The S&P; rose 0.1% to 4,504.55 during midday trading, and the Dow was up 0.3% to 35,188.87 and Nasdaq was flat at 14,092.70.
Crude oil dropped 1.1% to $91.28 a barrel.Â
Gold was up 0.7% to $1,820 an ounce.Â
The 10-year bond fell 0.725% to 1.916%.Â
