Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P; fell 0.9% to 4,345.32 during midday trading, the Dow was down 1.1% to 33,742.18 and Nasdaq also dropped 0.4% at 13,667.60.

Crude oil increased 4.7% to $95.90 a barrel. 

Gold was up 0.5% to $1,897 an ounce. 

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond dropped 5.7% to 1.870%. 

AUTOMOTIVE

Brea-based Mullen Automotive Inc. jumped 160% to $1.80 with a market cap of $50.5 million. The electric vehicle manufacturer announced an update today from its recent testing of polymer batteries , revealing a potential range of 600-plus miles on a full charge and over 300 miles of range within 18 minutes of DC fast charging. Mullen plans to produce these batteries for use in the company’s second generation FIVE EV Crossovers. 

 

HEALTHCARE

Medical diagnostics company MDxHealth rose 6.5% to $8.83. With its U.S. headquarters in Irvine, MDxHealth shows a market cap of $138.7 million and said it will report fourth quarter and 2021 results on March 2.
