Mission Viejo-based Ensign Group Inc. bought an assisted living facility in Tucson, Ariz., the company said.
Ensign closed on the 135-unit Sherwood Village Assisted Living and Memory Care last week, the company’s third acquisition in Arizona this year. It was 65% occupied when purchased.
Ensign bought the facility under its Bridgestone Living, Inc. seniors housing subsidiary with a combination of cash and assumption of a loan insured by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The company said the buy would add to earnings this year but did not disclose a purchase price.
In 12 states Ensign Group owns 127 healthcare facilities, 14 urgent care clinics, 11 home health businesses and nine hospice companies.
