Quiksilver Inc. plans to close several stores in prime Orange County locations as part of a larger trim to operations that’s in the works, according to documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The Huntington Beach-based apparel and footwear manufacturer, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection late Tuesday, hired Hilco Merchant Resources LLC in Northbrook, Ill., and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners LLC in Boston to manage store-closing sales at 27 locations.
The OC shutdowns will include a DC Shoes store at the Irvine Spectrum, a Quiksilver store in South Coast Plaza and a Roxy store in Fashion Island.
