Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 dipped 0.1% to 3,937.57.

The Nasdaq rose 0.3% to 11,299.40.

The Dow lost 0.4% to 31,808.12.

Crude oil increased 0.2% to $109.96 a barrel.

Gold fell 1.1% to $1,844 an ounce.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.1% to 2.758%.


Local retail stocks rose in Wednesday midday trading, partially shaking off losses seen this week as investors monitor inflation impacts and following Nordstrom Inc. topping analyst expectations. Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) led gains, with shares up 9.9% to $73.34 and a $2.2 billion market cap.  Shares are down 23% in the past month.

Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) rose 8.7% to $8.36 and a $256.3 million market cap. Shares are still down about 50% since the start of the year. The casual apparel retailer will report first quarter earnings after the market close on June 2.

Cerritos-based Revolve Group Inc. (NYSE: RVLV) increased 6.5% to $26.40 and a $1.9 billion market cap. Shares are trading at half their average volume.
