Huntington Beach-based Confie Seguros Insurance Services has acquired Baja Auto Insurance in Dallas on undisclosed terms.
Confie specializes in serving the Latino-American population and has been growing rapidly, thanks in part to acquisitions of smaller insurance brokerages throughout the U.S. It has completed more than 80 deals since inception in 2008 and has more than 650 branches nationwide.
Baja was founded in 2006 and has 88 branches throughout Texas. It has about 200 employees, who are expected to stay on.
Confie’s existing operations in Texas include the A-Affordable Auto Insurance and Freeway Insurance brands.
“Our pipeline of potential acquisitions remains robust,” said Valeria Rico, who recently took on the chief executive role at Confie. “We look forward to completing additional acquisitions that will broaden our geographic reach.”
