California United Bank has opened an office in Irvine, combining an existing loan production office and a branch location.
Encino-based California United acquired Anaheim-based Premier Commercial Bancorp last year for $42.3 million. It created CU Bancorp at the time of the deal to serve as a holding company for California United and Premier Commercial.
CU Bancorp trades over the Nasdaq Capital Market and has a market value of $184.3 million.
California United had $1.28 billion in assets at the end of June, with net loans of about $875.6 million.
Senior Vice President David Caples will oversee the new office at the Atrium business center, along with Senior Vice President Danni Remington, who also is a vice chairman at the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
