Defense contractor Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa says its military drone platforms can now linger aloft for a certain period of time before being striking their targets.
The company said today its ALTIUS 600 and 700 platforms now have “loitering munition capability,” which accelerates reaction time against soldiers or armored vehicles.
Both the 600M and 700M are designed to be flexible and adaptable and can accommodate multiple warhead options, with the 700M capable of carrying warheads as heavy as 35 pounds, Anduril said in a statement.
The ALTIUS 600M and 700M are designed for expeditionary deployment by air, mobile, ground or maritime forces, giving them multi-domain launch capability.
