Fountain Valley-based Hyundai Motor America said Friday it has begun the search for a new chief marketing officer, following its confirmation of CMO Dean Evans’ resignation.
The automaker said Evans resigned to pursue other opportunities.
“Hyundai is greatly appreciative to Dean for his contributions, where together we’ve become a leader in automotive marketing with many innovative and award-winning programs. Under his guidance, we’ve consistently produced some of the best and most memorable Super Bowl advertising and have modernized our digital marketing and lead generation activities,” the company said in a statement.
Chief Operating Officer Brian Smith is now leading the marketing team on an interim basis.
