The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond declined 0.5% to 2.95%.
The price of gold was flat at $1,226.
Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (Nasdaq: KALU) was up 6.4% to $116.22 and a $2 billion market cap. The Foothill Ranch-based metals maker reported quarterly adjusted net income of $28 million, up from $25 million year-over-year, on net sales of $415 million, up from $356 million.
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) in San Clemente was down 4.9% to $40.68 and a $1.4 billion market cap. The stent maker reports quarterly results next week. Shares are up 50% year-to-date.
BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) in Huntington Beach was down 3.3% to $62 and a $1.3 billion market cap. The casual dining chain reports results Thursday; shares are up 70% year-to-date.
