Mission Viejo’s Ensign Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) declined 5.4% to $23.36 and a $1.2 billion market cap. A Zacks research report issued today said the company “suffers from rising level of long-term debt” since 2011 that raises financial risks. Ensign owns post-acute care facilities.
Santa Ana-based Iteris Inc. (Nasdaq: ITI) increased 3.2% to $6.70 and a $220 million market cap. Shares of Iteris, which makes systems that collect data on transportation and agriculture, have climbed 25% since Nov. 15 when the company announced it won a $1.5 million contract for a traffic-signal upgrade project from the City of Abilene, TX.
