Irvine-based Sabra Health Care REIT Inc. said today it bought nine senior housing facilities in Illinois, Oregon and Washington in two deals totaling $84.7 million.

Sabra owns nursing homes, memory care facilities, and other healthcare-related real estate.

It spent $65 million for four senior housing facilities with 196 assisted living units and 18 independent living units in Oregon and Washington. The facilities will be leased to Portland, Oregon-based Radiant Senior Living.

The company also spent $19.7 million to buy the five-property Life’s Journey Senior Living portfolio in Illinois.

Shares of Sabra closed down 2% today to a market value of $1.55 billion in a sluggish market.
