Costa Mesa-based El Pollo Loco Holdings Inc. was down 18.4% to $14.99 and a $573 million market cap. The fast food chain missed analyst expectations on revenue in its most recent quarterly report and cut full-year guidance.
Newport Beach-based William Lyon Homes was down 5.6% to $23.75 and a $747 million market cap. The homebuilder said affiliates of Luxor Capital Group LP would offer 2 million shares of common stock. Luxor is the company’s largest institutional shareholder as of March 31 with 4.4 million shares for a 15.9% stake. William Lyon Homes won’t sell any shares or receive any proceeds from the sale of Luxor’s stock. Shares had traded by midday at about six times the builder’s 90-day, full-day average.
