Irvine-based Broadcom Corp. was up 4.2% to $45.76 and a $27 billion market cap. The chipmaker said its quarterly revenue grew nearly 4% to $2 billion and that adjusted profits were up 98% to $390 million compared with the same period last year.

Irvine-based Standard Pacific Corp. was down 2.5% to $8.48 and a market value of its common stock of $2.3 billion. Newport Beach-based William Lyon Homes was down 2.4% to $23.22 and a $730 million market cap. Aliso Viejo-based New Home Co. Inc. was down 2.8% to $15.26 and a $252 million market cap.
