Irvine-based Auction.com, an online real estate auction company, said it has added Jeff Epstein, former Oracle chief financial officer, to its board of directors.
Epstein, who will chair the audit committee, is an operating partner at Bessemer Venture Partners in New York and a senior advisor at Oak Hill Capital Partners in Menlo Park. He also serves on the board of directors for Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, the management board of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Palo Alto, Priceline Group in Norwalk, Conn. and Shutterstock in New York.
“Jeff understands the value of online marketplaces that bring buyers and sellers together on a single platform,” Jeff Frieden, Auction.com’s chief executive and co-founder, said in a news release. “As the nation’s largest online real estate marketplace, Auction.com is eager to use Jeff’s experience and insights to help plan our next phase of growth.”
Epstein is the second high profile addition to the Auction.com board, joining a representative from Google Capital, which announced a $50 million investment in the company last week.
