Universal Protection Service has acquired Burbank-based Sky Security Services, a deal that gives the Santa Ana-based company entry into Nevada and Hawaii.
Terms were not disclosed.
Sky Security has about 20 offices overall, with a presence in Florida and Texas, where Universal already operates. It specializes in hotels and residential communities, including condominiums and apartments, and is planning to open offices in Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia.
Universal Protection is part of Universal Services of America, which has about 2,000 employees in Orange County out of a total of nearly 28,000 nationwide across its regional subsidiaries.
The company had $662 million in revenue last year.
