Santa Ana-based AlignMed Inc. appointed Robert Meers its chief executive. Meers succeeds company founder Bill Schultz in the position.
AlignMed, founded in 2005, makes apparel used by amateur and professional athletes—including Los Angeles Laker star Dwight Howard—as well as by sports team managers and trainers, orthopedists and physical therapists and
in corporate wellness programs. The company touts its garments as aids in correcting and shaping the body’s alignment and balance.
Meers was previously chief executive of Lululemon Athletica Inc. of Vancouver. He also spent 15 years with Reebok International Limited, where he established the Greg Norman and Rockport brands.
