Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. is set to open its redesigned Disney Store at South Coast Plaza at a new location in the mall on Saturday.
The new store adds a few hundred square feet of space, according to a spokesperson.
The South Coast Plaza Disney Store marks the second redesigned store in Orange County for Disney, which has more than 200 locations in North America in addition to international locations.
The Shops at Mission Viejo Disney Store was the first Disney store in OC to be redesigned in 2010.
The Disney store remodel is one of several that will have been completed by the end of this year at South Coast Plaza, joining a remodeled Tourneau. Fendi is currently in temporary space at South Coast, while its store is remodeled, a project slated for completion next month.
It also follows a number of new-store openings this year, including a flagship Anthropologie in July along with the first Orange County Diane von Furstenberg and the West Coast flagship for Roger Vivier, both of which opened in April.
