Irvine mobile accessories maker Incipio Technologies Inc. has purchased local clothing maker Tavik Industries LLC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Incipio makes cases for mobile devices in addition to headphones and other accessories.

Tavik makes men’s clothing inspired by music and beach culture in addition to women’s swimwear.

The two companies worked together before the deal, collaborating on cases for the iPhone 4S and iPad.

“With Incipio’s global capabilities in production, logistics, warehousing, distribution and financing, Tavik will have the freedom and resources to focus on product design, marketing and sales,” said Tavik Chief Executive Erik Paulsen in a statement.

The deal could also mean expansion into new product lines for Tavik, Paulsen added.

Tavik recently worked with Anaheim-based action sports retailer Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. on a line of swimwear that debuted in March. That was part of PacSun’s Trade Collective program, which pairs the retailer with new and emerging brands on exclusive lines for its stores.

Incipio and Tavik recently moved into new headquarters on Oak Canyon in Irvine.
