Orange County’s biggest gainer in midday trading was Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Tustin. The company’s shares were up 6.19% to $1.03 on Peregrine’s announcement that it would begin testing a rectal cancer treatment for stage II or III patients. The trial is sponsored by investors.
Peregrine had a recent market value of $102.78 million.
Other Monday gainers included Irvine-based Netlist Inc., with shares up 1.23% to $1.74. Netlist had a recent market value of $49.58 million.
Shares of larger public companies were generally steady through the morning.
Shares of Irvine-based Lantronix Inc. were up 1.66% to $2.31 to a market value of about $33.25 million.
Irvine-based Meade Instruments Corp.’s shares fell 6.4% to $3.51 to a recent market value of $4.39 million.
Shares of Irvine-based TigerLogic Corp. fell 4.06% to $1.89 to a recent market value of $53.28 million.
Willdan Group Inc. of Anaheim saw its share price fall 3.91% to $1.72. The company had a recent market value of $12.55 million.
