Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver Inc. has tapped an Oakley Inc. executive as its new chief financial officer.
Richard Shields, who most recently held the same title at Foothill Ranch-based Oakley, will oversee Quiksilver’s global finances and accounting.
The appointment is effective May 11.
Shields had been with Oakley since 2005.
He replaces Joe Scirocco, who announced his resignation from Quiksilver’s chief financial officer post in January.
Scirocco has stayed on with the company during its search for a replacement. His last day with Quiksilver will be April 30.
Quiksilver makes and sells action sports-inspired clothes, shoes and accessories under brands such as Quiksilver, Roxy and DC.
