The city of Anaheim lost another round Thursday in its battle with the Los Angles Angels of Anaheim over the baseball team’s name.
A judge rejected the city’s bid for a permanent injunction against using Los Angeles in the team name. The ruling could mark the end of the line for the city’s fight.
Next week, Anaheim’s City Council is set to consider appealing last month’s jury verdict in favor of the name change.
“We have an option to appeal,” Anaheim spokesman John Nicoletti said.
Early last month, a jury found team owner Arte Moreno didn’t voliate the team’s lease at Angel Stadium of Anaheim by adding Los Angles to the name.
