The Orange County Business Journal will be producing a new annual special edition on March 30, 2009 called "The Giving Guide". This is very different than the "giving" and "philanthropy" supplements that have been produced in the past by The OC Register and OCBJ. The Giving Guide is a resource guide, not an article based supplement.
Similar in concept to the popular Book of Lists, The Giving Guide is a resource designed as a tool to help OC executives in their decision making. Each left page of this supplement will feature a different non profit organization and include all pertinent information helpful to our readers in choosing their future community partnerships (see attached sample layout). This supplement will have a glossy cover and be distributed to 23,000 of the most affluent, philanthropic-minded leaders in Orange County (Note: OCBJ subscribers have a household income of $593,000 which is over 6x’s the county average!). It is the perfect audience for your marketing message.
The Giving Guide has become a wonderful marketing tool for nonprofit organizations in other business journal markets. Below is a link to some of the testimonials received from The Giving Guide participants in the Denver business community. Also find a link to our flyer and a sample of the page layout.

I hope you are able to find the funds to participate. Certainly one option that many are exploring is to seek underwriting assistance from a business partner (i.e. board member). As an underwriter, they can benefit from the ad page on the right side of the spread or choose to donate that space to your organization. Please call me with any questions and as always, let me know what I can do to help.
Best regards,
